I met with one of ROI's hiring managers for a comms consultant position. While the internal HR folks were friendly and responsive, this individual seemed aloof and disorganized. Maybe this person was just having a bad day, not sure. This manager had not even taken the time to review my resume before the interview. "Tell me about yourself," was about as much dialogue as we had together. The interview concluded and a thank you note was sent. That was the last I heard from ROI. They didn't even have the courtesy to let me know whether I go the job or not, despite repeated follow up. The interview taught me a lot about the culture of the company and how little I would have enjoyed working for the firm. Some doors close for a reason, and I'm glad this one did.
