The interview process was rigorous and lengthy but smooth and professional. I applied and was contacted by their corporate recruiter five days later to schedule a phone interview the next day. After the phone interview, within the hour I received an invitation to come into the office for a short tour and a series of assessments. There was an IQ test, a grammar and spelling test, a personality test, and a typing test (55wpm is a requirement). The grammar and spelling test was straightforward, as were the personality test and typing test, but the IQ test (80 questions in 60 minutes) was very similar to the some of the questions in the Math section of the GRE or even the more difficult questions on the SAT/ACT. It is very focused on logic and pattern recognition, and I was surprised that I actually had to guess on one of the questions after running short on time, despite my background in standardized test preparation tutoring and the similarities between this test and those. After the assessments, I was contacted within three business days to schedule a face-to-face interview between me and team leaders within the company. Due to my own schedule, this interview took place a week later. I was pointed towards some web sites in order to do more research and learn more about the position I was interviewing for, and asked to describe my findings during the interview as well as other normal interview questions - overall it lasted almost an hour. This interview went well and immediately after I was invited to schedule a second in-person interview a week later with one of the members of the first interview committee switched with the team leader who would be directly above me if I signed on. Between the first interview and the second, my references were contacted, and I had some issues getting one of them to respond in a timely manner, but the corporate recruiter was very patient and understanding, and always quick to respond to my e-mails. I was given a short book (~130 pages) describing in further detail the nature of the position, and was asked again in the interview to react to what I had read. While the first interview was more focused on determining if I had the skills and ambition for the position, the second interview was oriented towards finding out if I was a good fit for the company and their brand of work. The second interview also took a little less than an hour and asked a few more in-depth questions about my background and my reaction to situations I'd experienced that were relevant to the job. After the second interview, I was immediately asked if I would be able to come in for a final meeting 3 days later, at which point I was given an offer for the position and the corporate culture was explained in greater detail. It seemed unlikely that I would be brought in just to be rejected for the position, so I was prepared to sign their offer at that time, and did so. The entire process from application to offer took exactly 1 month.
