I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RSM (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2013
Interview
Basic college recruit. Applied through campus career center. Meet some partners and recruiters at the career fair. Selected for on-campus interview. 1on1 interview with tax partner. Awesome guy, nice conversations. Basic questions, just to get to know you and you're interests in the firm and accounting. Nothing technical. I think there were a few questions on teaming, but those came up naturally in the convo. Invited to the office visit and notified the day following. The office visit was the following week. Meet with two partners for 45 minutes each. Very down to earth people and they just asked about your experiences and why you would want the internship and work in public accounting. I got the offer the monday after following the friday interview.

Question 1
Nothing too unexpected. In my opinion, the good firms these days just want to get to know you.
They were very relaxed and asked a few behavioral questions. We discussed things such as why I was interested in tax and how I could contribute to the team. I asked them questions at the end, and I think that is what helped me the most and gave me an opportunity to showcase my personality.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RSM (Houston, TX) in Mar 2022
Interview
I applied for a position and heard back to schedule an interview in early March. I had 2 back-to-back virtual interviews with pleasant folks from RSM, and the interview felt more conversational than inquisitive.

Interview
30 minute interview with a Tax manager, asked very general behavioral interview questions. Definitely prepare good questions to ask in the end because it is a key step of the interview process.
