I had an online interview with 2 of the existing software engineers and one of the delivery managers these were part of the team I would be joining so I guess also to assess team fit

Interview
1. Initial call (3 min) with engineers focusing on general topics and some tech experience.
2. Hackerrank 4-hour assignment to implement a small springboot REST API using local setup for coding and push.
3. Second call (45 min) with potential team members including Engineers, DevOps, Architect, BAs, and Hiring Manager, focusing on experience and reasons for job change. Engineers inquire about specific tools, technologies, handling external APIs, security, and Azure DevOps pipeline.
4. Final call (45 min) with senior engineers, predominantly Indian, emphasizing specific tools and frameworks, notably Spring Security and SSL certificates. Interview seems centered on legacy applications and security, asked about knowledge of XML SOAP. Felt a potential toxic working culture vibe.
5. Received a system-generated rejection email without proper feedback.
