Applied and interviewed for a position I was overqualified for, but it seemed I made an impression on the President as he told me he sets aside good resumes when he sees them. I had a second interview with another employee on the panel, and it was discussed that they were growing and were interested in working with me / building out a position that fit my skills. I was thrilled about this and expressed my interest in discussing it more. About a week later I was offered a position (informally via email) and asked if I had questions. I expressed my interest in accepting and naturally had some more detailed questions about things not mentioned in the offer. I offered to come in or schedule a call for this but was told to email the questions then we could touch base. So I emailed off a list of basic questions (very normal in the hiring process), not even touching on negotiations yet. This was, unfortunately, the last time I heard from them. I followed up three times over the course of the next month in various ways with no reply. Not wanting to burn bridges, I then followed up after the new year, expressing my interest in the position still and noting I understand how busy the holidays can be. I stated that if the offer has changed in any way, please let me know and that I would be open to discussing future opportunities. This also went unanswered and I now see that they are hiring for the position publically.
