      Product Manager Interview

      21 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Tempe, AZ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Railbookers Group (Tempe, AZ) in Dec 2024

      Interview

Interview process was disorganized and lacked communication. It started with a generic, copy-pasted email from a recruiter—no name, mismatched fonts, and no response when I replied. I had to book my own interview through a Calendly link, which was later rescheduled without explanation. I followed up to confirm the time and got a one-line response. The first interview went well. I was told I’d move on to the hiring manager next and that they aimed to have someone in the seat by January 6. After weeks of silence and no response to my follow-ups, I finally received an invite to the second interview on January 8—after the supposed hire date. That interview also went well, and I was told I was one of the top three candidates out of over 1,100. Despite promises of follow-up, I had to schedule another Calendly meeting with the recruiter just to get a response. I also emailed both recruiters and the VP. The VP responded three times saying things were still in motion. Then they just stopped replying altogether. No closure.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked about my experience managing marketing for tourism brands, how I’ve driven growth and engagement, and what strategies I’ve used to increase direct bookings. There were also some general questions about my leadership style and how I handle cross-functional projects and tight deadlines.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Railbookers Group in Nov 2024

      Interview

I took the tests and passed. I then met with recruiter (went well) then the next interview took three months to schedule. Mostly on their end. I had given them ONE day in all of a month I could not do it and they went and scheduled it for that one day. So that pushed it another month. I finally met with them and it went well. I NEVER heard another thing despite asking HR and the recruiter. TWICE. Job is still posted but I was told so many applied. This is now four months later still nothing. They are not paying high enough for the role anyway. Also just bad comms all the way around. Clearly I’m not caring about the role but being ghosted was really crazy
