I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rainmaker Software (Davenport, IA) in Mar 2015
Interview
The interview was split into two parts, wherein I met with all three owners of the company. The first part was about an hour and a half, wherein I was asked to complete an IQ test (most interviewees are asked to do this), and I was afterwards told my score. They asked me a couple of my ideas on what to do in certain types of hypothetical situations, and they asked me a good deal about myself, my personality, etc. to get a better idea of what it would be like to work with me. It felt quite a bit like a conversation you would have over dinner. After the first interview, I was called later that day and asked to come in again, where I met the main owner of the company, and had a one-on-one with him. We had a similar process the second time around, though this interview was two hours. It really felt like getting to know me, and more of a conversation between the both of us.
