      Marketing Coordinator Interview

      4 Feb 2017
      Anonymous employee
      San Antonio, TX
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Rainman Group (San Antonio, TX) in Feb 2017

      Interview

The interview started out well, but as it progressed I started to see the cons former employees express on this site. Rainey talked a lot about the company and its direction...however seemed to lack the knowledge and structure needed to take it there. He seemed rather scatter brained while conducting the interview and could not provide a straight answer when asked about the company's process for client projects. Nonetheless, I continued with the interview which lasted over an hour. I was contacted the next day and offered the position, but told that I would need to provide an answer on the spot. In my experience, an offer is extended, job specifics (pay, dress code, hours, holidays, etc) are shared and an offer letter is sent out. Rather than extending the offer on a positive note and welcome me aboard properly, Rainey said "we have a lot of work to do...don't make me regret my decision to hire you" after I expressed my enthusiasm over selecting me. He talks about the importance of integrity, yet reviews by former employees and clients express otherwise. The interview alone was enough to make me not want to move forward...the way the position was offered left little to be desired out of it. I would suggest that you tread with caution and get everything in writing should you decide to move forward with this company.
