I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rakuten Kobo in Oct 2021
Interview
It was pretty clear from the start the hiring manager wasn't very interested in speaking with me, or at least hadn't prepared. They weren't familiar with my resume, assumed I had a different professional background than I did, and cut me off while answering questions. I felt like I was inconveniencing them, even though their recruiter had reached out to me to schedule the interview. I left the interview feeling confused about why they asked me to participate at all.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rakuten Kobo in June 2021
Interview
TA and hiring managers need to align. I was reached out to by TA to apply for a role, but the hiring manager decided in the first 5 minutes of the interview that I didn’t have the background they were looking for despite being a PM with 5 years experience. Poor candidate experience.

Interview
Interviewed 3 times. First interview was video conference with the boss. Second time was with boss and the technical manager (at the office). Last time was with the boss and team members. People there are nice. Each interview lasts for 1 hour. After the interview, the HR contacted me for all the package.
