      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp (New York, NY) in Oct 2024

      Interview

The interview process included a CTF test and a React component task that had to be completed before formally applying, which was actually a lot of fun. However, I didn’t receive detailed feedback on my performance—only that I hadn’t moved on to the next stage because they had chosen another candidate. I’m not sure if it was because I’m based in Brazil, if my qualifications didn’t fully match, or if my test results weren’t up to their standards.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp (New York, NY) in Feb 2025

      Interview

First, there was a 48-hour challenge sent via email. The task was easy but contained a deliberate error in the instructions, which I didn’t appreciate. Next, there was a one-hour online coding session. The interviewer showed little engagement—simply sending the instructions in the chat and sitting quietly. The task was designed to be too long to complete within the given time, yet I received no guidance on what aspects were most important to focus on. I prioritized writing high-quality code and did my best to complete the task based on what I deemed right. The interviewer lacked communication skills, and the environment didn’t seem particularly friendly. It felt like they valued quick-and-dirty solutions over well-designed, high-quality code.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp in Jan 2024

      Interview

I applied on their website, did their fun capture-the-flag challenge and heard back from a recruiter within 2 days. In total there was a recruiter round, a 1-hr technical interview, and a final onsite consisting of 2 1-hr coding interviews (similar to the first round), a systems design interview, and a behavioural. The problems were implementation based and were challenging but engaging. You definitely need a comfort level with writing React apps and TS/JS classes quickly and correctly.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Create some React apps with functionality, JS/TS classes, and explain a system you worked on/built before.
