      IT Interview

      27 Feb 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ramp in Feb 2025

      Interview

The recruiter phone screen round was a joke. He was 10 minutes late, has little to no personality or enthusiasm, and the interview felt like I was being interrogated. I wasn't given an option to ask any questions, and he ended the call after 15 minutes. For someone with over a decade of experience, the rejection email I received the next day was laughable after my experience. Consider trying to find people who are excited about your company and your candidates. Find better ways of pushing back on candidates or asking for more information. He acted like I was inferior for some of my answer to his ridiculous questions. Making people feel like they're glad they aren't continuing in the process because of how the recruiter acted is counterintuitive for a recruiter...

      Question 1

Why work here? Explain the difference between your positions at x and y companies (after going through my experience already).
