I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Ramsey Solutions in Sept 2017
Interview
It was initially a very positive experience. I appreciated how fast the responses were, and had pleasant interview experiences. I was told after the 2nd interview that I would be contacted in "the next few days," and that contact didn't come until almost 3 months later to inform me the position was filled. I love the Ramsey mission, and I believe that this was not indicative of their culture. I feel like Dave would be upset to hear that I was basically ignored and given no status updates (even though they were promised.) 3 months is a ridiculous amount of time to go dark. Especially when the last information you received was that you would hear from them in a few days. I really wanted to work with this team, but I really feel like someone dropped the ball in a serious way regarding courtesy. I would still tell people to try to work for this company because I believe they are doing amazing things, but this interview process told me a lot about the flaws they still have, and the interpersonal ways they can still improve. Just bad luck I suppose.

Question 1
How do you feel about working for a company that has core values rooted in scripture?

Interview
The first interview round was with a recruiter and was pretty short and straightforward. But before I would even be allowed to meet with anyone in the department that I would be working in, I was expected to watch 2 episodes of Financial Peace University and do a design project that would take me 5-10 hours. That much unpaid work so early in an interview process was a massive red flag and showed that Ramsey Solutions doesn't respect the time of its prospective employees.
There is no ethical reason why people who already have entire portfolios of design work available for you to do should be putting in 10 hours of unpaid labor at any point in the interview process, much less before they even get to speak to another graphic designer. Also, this sort of practice easily has the potential to immensely narrow the diversity of your candidate pool by quite a bit because you're immediately ruling out anyone who doesn't have the privilege to use up 5-10 hours for your free labor. I know that Ramsey Solutions doesn't care about diversity at all, but I would urge them to do better.
Very in-depth that included a design test and multiple interviews. The interview process seems to based on team fit as being one of the most important deciding factors. Overall was an ok experience, but when I was rejected, there was not a clear reason why.

Interview
Initial phone interview. Very emotionally driven questions about my relationship with debt. I was directly asked if I am a religious person and what religion I belong to which is why I am giving a negative review.
