I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Reading Partners (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
Very congenial process wherein there was consistent/timely communication with HR rep. It was for an AmeriCorps position back in 2015, so first there was a series of video questions (don't be intimidated; just take a deep breath, smile, and look at your computer's viewfinder so it appears you're making "eye contact"), then a few in-person interviews, where the Program Managers (2-3 people) were all very nice. The whole process took about a month; stay up on your emails and don't worry about all of the people they c'c as an FYI.

Question 1
Gave a sample scenario (assignment) where you had to write an email to a tutor who'd done something wrong and needed correction. You had about a week to complete the assignment after initial interview.
2 interviews with 2 managers. Usual questions. Why do you wanna serve? Weaknesses, experience with the kids. Questions about the community social justice and what sort you want to play as an americorps member

Interview
Applied online, phone screen with a former AmeriCorps Site Coordinator, project and questionnaire, and in person interview. All welcoming people, passionate about the mission. The process is involved though. The questions are thought provoking, there is role-play, and you have to do a written assignment. They are upfront about the AmeriCorps status and stipend amount at all stages from the posted job description to the offer letter. The offer will be contingent on background check. Be honest with yourself and with them before accepting about whether the arrangement is feasible for you.

Interview
Met with two supervisors, both very nice. One person asked questions and the other one typed my answers on a computer. Followed up by telling me more about the position and Americorps. I also got to ask a bunch of questions.
