      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Readymode (Vancouver, BC) in Jan 2018

      Interview

After a 15 minute phone screen just before the holidays, I interviewed onsite in the new year with the HR Business Partner and the Tech Support Manager. It was a friendly and courteous atmosphere and they were both very informative and forthcoming about the role. As far as interviews go, it was definitely one of the more fun and engaging ones I've had. The impression I got was that they are looking for a mix of skills + culture fit which is always a good sign. Some of the technical questions were a bit above my head because the company deals with quite a range of support queries and my experience is a little more limited. One of the best things I can say is that even though I got a couple of technical questions wrong (and I so knew it!), my two interviewers made me feel super comfortable the whole time and gave a quick explanation that tied it into the role so I could measure for myself what kind of info gap I had. I feel like that says a ton about how they teach and train and just the company's values in general.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Readymode (Vancouver, BC) in Nov 2018

      Interview

I applied for the position using the XenCall website. I got a reply via email to book a phone interview. Phone interview with the HR Generalist was 10-15 min: Standard questions regarding why I am interested in the position, why I would be a good fit, my career path/goal... Etc. It was pleasant and professional. At the end of the phone interview, I also booked an in-person interview. During the in-person interview, there were 2 interviewers, the HRBP and the Integration Specialist. The HRBP asked me questions regarding my past experience/education-to a greater extent than the phone interview-and also questions to gauge if I would be a good fit for the company's culture. While the HRBP tested me on the personal level, the Integration Specialist verified my technical skills with mock scenarios - nothing a capable technician or technician to be couldn't answer. After their questions, they answered my questions on the company, about their software and the job duties candidly, yet professionally. The interview took about 40-45 minutes, but it didn't feel that long because they were friendly and made me feel comfortable. The same afternoon, I got an email requesting my references, and the next day, I got offered the position.
