      Fundraiser Interview

      20 Jan 2020
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Real Fundraising (London, England) in Jan 2020

      Interview

Respect ethics activism and love is what the company is supposed to stand for the only thing you will be shown is activism as each person I met honestly lacks the rest to put it politely. To start with the time of 8 weeks working here is mentioned then you receive and email expressing 2 weeks worth of clothes is going to be needed ( they fail to mention that the two weeks of things need to be washed and there is unlikely to be a washing machine in the accommodation) they also avoid telling you that you will go home to your family for as little as 5 days a time the mass of which could be travel and you now belong too these people. Day one of training:- sent to the wrong address as canary height is written no where on the email at all and the invitation email is not properly written so no one will await your arrival or help you find where to go (I was knocking a strangers house for the most part of this day!) once accommodation was found the place was a hostel and I was put to sleep across the hall from heroine addicts hearing “pass me the spoon an needle” across the hall when this is not the first incident or even the worst !? One person on our training was robbed however REAL reallocated him and sent me back to the accommodation (canary Heights) run by thieves expecting me to be ready to stay another night! Day two - All of sudden you have a test on their “morals and what they stand for” if you do not pass this test even though you’d recieved a invitation of employment from these people they will discard of you like gone off food. Day three :- given that you pass their test you will be sent to your accommodation to meet your individual team, I was sent without an iPad and made to feel bad for the mistakes made by this company via they’re employees for this! I also had to find the accommodation again, spoken too like mud on the bottom of their shoes. these people “awaited my arrival in the pub next door” it was a Wednesday and they were all drunk! Got back too the accommodation and it looked like a doss house I had to clean up they’re mess to be able to use a single mug for a coffee ! Day 3:- I began to work the job title without my iPad ! Having grief as I “forgot to switch it to my name during sign up” this should not happen as I should have my own iPad. The same night I go back to our accommodation not only are these people getting drunk until 1 am to 3am they are now smoking cannabis and hoping I am reliable to wake them up in the mornings after they been off their heads the nights before ! (Beginning to lose my cool after washing their dishes 3 times living in a pigs-tie with these people!) Day 4 and then to 5 :- as the training was started late and today was a Sunday I am being told to work by my “manager” the drug abusing heavy drinker that I’m expected to work a Sunday and there is a good chance no one will pay me for it! I was reluctant and made to feel bad by the manager for this! I messaged the director to explain that I am not willing to continue the lifestyle that is “REAL” since it turned out to be the most disrespectful unethical and least loving place I’d worked. They are now all to happy to say the words “We will be withholding your pay until the jumper and ID badge are sent back to us” fair enough I guess you just reinstate my opinion of you as a company they are essentially a pyramid scheme of sign ups where the rich get richer and the poor stay exactly as they are “we don’t work in sales or on commission as we are an ethical business” they just re-word it cleverly allowing them to work the exact same as any large franchise. Thanks for taking the time to read this. My suggestion is do not approach with company with a ten foot barge pole, avoid avoid avoid.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

To accept a pyramid scheme for sign ups to living in a hostel of absolute scoundrels and to grin and bare it.
