I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Regions Financial in Feb 2011
Interview
I was dropping my resume at different banks and the HR lady for Regions brought me in her office and talked to me for about 30 minutes about my goals and what I was looking for. She advised me to go online and apply for open positions. When I applied, I also had 2 employee referrals that probably helped me out. She called me back two weeks later to begin the interview with her. It lasted two hours and involved going over my application and then situational questions. She made it to be more like of a conversation amongst friends which made it a lot easier. I received a call a day later saying the branch manager wanted to speak to me. I was told I was among the 3 remaining finalist. The interview lasted 50 minutes and was pretty much a "get to know me" interview. I received a call three days later to fill out information for the background check. I received a call 7 business days later and was offered the job. Then upon accepting the job I had to take a drug test within 48 hours. The HR lady couldn't have been better to work with.

Question 1

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Regions Financial (Jacksonville, FL)
Interview
Applied online, a few days later got a call to schedule an interview. Went in to the interview very optimistic and had post-interview questions ready to go. The Manager at the branch was nice and I thought we had both enjoyed the interview. She gave me her card to email her any questions and even told me the name of the person from HR who would be contacting me and that I should ask the HR rep about pay and benefits. Only a few hours after the interview I already got a rejection email, didn't even get the chance to send a thank you email to the manager. I though it was pretty rude she led me on about HR just to receive a rejection email about 4 hours later.
