Step 1: I applied on career page and got a call from HR, basic screening,
Step 2: It was a technical phone screen with a Lead engineer, the interview went smooth and he was quite friendly.
Step 3: I was given a coding challenge. There was no deadline mentioned but was expected to provide the best solution.
Step 4: Code review & technical discussion with 2 engineers.
Step 5: Final interview with CTO of the company.
They are very responsive. Great team with a unique culture. There were no curve balls and the interview process was very pleasant.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Coding challenge was based on providing the best solution to sync and present real time data to users fetched from an API.
The technical discussion was based on standard React/JavaScript/CSS questions which weren't too bad if you knew your stuff.

Interview
It was a strange experience.
I saw the job at StackOverflow Jobs and applied. The next morning, the company's recruiter sent me an e-mail like "I loved your CV, can we talk in 30 minutes?". I agreed and we had the interview. It was more like a questionnaire. She asked and I had to give short answers. Like "how many years of Java experience do you have?". I replied "four years". She "Too bad, we wanted someone with five". It doesn't matter that in the end I have 10 years of experience with software development and had a lot to contribute, she just knew how to ask these simple questions.

Interview
Company hr reached me for software developer position. The first step was with the hr at Skype to explain the company and what they are looking for. They called me to the Amsterdam office for the first interview. I interviewed with a manager. It was a non-coding interview. After that, they sent the assignment which was very original. After I finished the assignment, they called me again for the assignment review with two team leads. They asked me several questions about architecture about the system, why I had chosen those frameworks, database and programming languages. They were very nice and I enjoyed the interview. After 2 weeks they called me and told that they want to work with me. They asked questions about my current salary, benefits and notice period. After another one week I received an email that they closed that position for now and they will reach me if they reopen. Two weeks later they sent an interview invitation for the same position to an ex-colleague. Basically, they didn't close that position.
