Interview
The online application was fine, but when it came to my zoom interview, the interviewer never called me. When I emailed them to find out what happened to our interview, I never received an email back as well. A pretty good sign that they are unorganized.
There were about 4 rounds.
The first was with the HR person to see what my relevant experience was. It was about 20-30 minutes and straight forward.
Second round was with a current program leader/program leader manager. This talked more about the day-to-day of the role. A lot of scenario questions "How would you draw the line between personal and professional in XYZ situation" . This was abotu 45 minutes-1 hour via zoom. He was polite and had a lot of first hanad experience.
Round 3 was with someone higher up/perhaps his role is the cultural director. He's more in charge of in-country staff globally. So this interview was about how you'd work with staff in each country, conflict resolution, how to manage your time and not get burnt out. About 45 minutes. Super nice guy!
The 4th round was a project round. They sent a series of questions and projects for you to create mock activites, scenarios, powerpoints, etc. It took a few hours to complete.
I sent in the materials and didn't hear back for a while. When I followed up I was recommended to apply for other positions within the company.
However, they never issued a "no" which was a bit unprofessional. My last two follow-up emails received no reply.

Interview
Started with a quick 20 minute call with an HR rep who went over the role and expectations. She didn't give any opportunity to ask questions and hardly asked me anything other than my compensation requirements and if I had any conflicts. The second round was with the Program head - was also pretty quick and asked the basic questions - What do I like about remote year? how did I find them? What's something I have struggled with before during my travels? what is my travel experience, specifically group travel?
Then the third round was with the VP of Culture and it was a great chat about my past experiences within the tourism industry.
All in all, they keep each round super quick and efficient. But I was left always wanting to ask more questions. The original woman I spoke to was the HR/Recruiter who organized each round but I had to follow up multiple times and ask for the zoom links. It was a bit unorganized but the Remote Year guys were great.
