      Junior Product Manager Interview

      6 Dec 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Reputation Earth

      Interview

This was a very unusual and unexpected interview process that involved using applicants to do conduct unpaid market research as part of the job application process This is how it works: 1. You get an email saying “we have reviewed your resume at Glassdoor and decided to offer you the test task. Please, check out the presentation in the attachment and follow all the instructions from there.” 2. THE TEST TASK: Conduct a problematic interview with the restaurant.
Via phone-call or on the meeting. Out the form and preferably download a dialog record. If the restaurant is difficult to contact, offer them a $ 50 voucher for our services for responding to reviews or Amazon $ 25 gift card. Give us heads up in advance so we can confirm this possibility.
 3. You are not given the gift card to the client meeting, because you are told “we are able to do it only directly with a restaurant representative.”
 4. When you submit the work you conducted, you are invited to talk on Zoom remotely after a week 5. Just before the call, you get the following message: “We have made a decision to pursue other candidates at this point. Again, we greatly appreciate your time and effort. Good luck in all you do.” At this point, if you haven't done it already, you have to send your client a gift card from you, because you realize that you have been tricked to lie to your customer.
