      Internship Interview

      8 Aug 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Rescuecom (New York, NY) in Aug 2020

      Interview

The job posting was very misleading, mentioning "entry level" and "internship" several times; this is not at all what they were looking for. Interview was set up via email and when you go in they sit you down at a computer to take a couple personality tests (software from the 80s, a bad sign for an IT company), a vocabulary test, and a test on your IT knowledge. After that they talk to you about your resume and experience. They guy I interviewed with (the owner) was condescending and acted like I was wasting his time. I was told they were looking for someone with 5 to 7 years experience in the field despite the posting mentioning internship and entry level several times.
