I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Reservoir Labs in May 2021
Interview
Phone screening and then 5 one-on-one interviews spread out over 2 days. First two interviews were based on past work, the third and fourth were deeply technical testing your compiler and advanced algorithm knowledge.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Prepare DFA and Transformations in compiler. Clear concepts about NP-complete and coding backtracking algorithms.

Interview
1) Phone Screen
2) Code Review
3) "Onsite"
4) Reference Check
Kind staff but extremely slow with responding between each phase; not worth applying if you're in the midst of other interviews (i.e. don't have ample time). Didnt receiver an offer as I had to move along with other companies.

Interview
Had an initial phone screening with the hiring manager, which went fine. I was told there would be a Linux Exam as a follow up.
The Linux Skill test was pretty straightforward. I was able to answer all of the questions correctly.
After waiting almost two weeks for an update, I was told "I did not provide enough detail in my responses". Considering the assessment as well as the representative from RL mentioned that "Note that the only expected response for each question is an executable command line", I was baffled to hear that they expected to see more detail.
Feedback to the RL team: if you are looking for detail, then specify that. There are many ways of getting an expected result from a command in Linux. This is not a valid way of testing knowledge if the one grading the assessment isn't open minded.
