I had an HR interview with a Talent Acquisition Specialist. I explained my frontend background, experience with React, TypeScript, and work with real-time technologies such as Socket.IO. I was also honest that I do not have direct experience building a full real-time video management system, but I have strong fundamentals and can adapt to new technologies.
After this single HR interview, I received an automated rejection email. I was not invited to a technical interview and did not get a chance to demonstrate my skills.
I contacted the recruiter by email to ask for feedback, but I did not receive a response. I also contacted Andrew Surzhynskyi (CTO & Co-founder) on LinkedIn to ask if my profile could be reviewed again, since I did not reach the technical stage, but I did not receive a reply.
Rejection is normal, but the process was not transparent. There was no technical assessment and no feedback after the rejection. More open communication would improve the candidate experience.
