Hey-- Nick chiming in-- co-founder, CTO and the other end of the phone call. First, I really appreciated our chat and getting to hear about your trajectory in all things [web] dev. I'm incredibly sorry that our discussion left a bad taste in your mouth-- (I have an odd affinity for that turn-of-phrase and my significant other routinely laughs when I use it!) We're passionate about serving moto enthusiasts at RevZilla and our commitment to service should extend through the hiring process. Complete apologies.
We're also passionate about "Understanding Why?" (ZLA Core Value 2) and I'm genuinely curious why engineers choose the tools that they do-- both the How they came to use them and ultimately the Why. For myself-- this was a journey through c, perl, coldfusion, php, ruby and most recently elixir. All of these languages have certain strengths and weaknesses and my evolution through each has emboldened my passion for building cool things and delighting customers.
Thanks for the red ink and feedback-- feel free to reach out if you have any other concerns.
Take care,
-Nick
