Rhinestahl invited me to come in for a site interview, met with an interview panel consisting of 15 people over 3 hours. After Rhinestahl refused to pay for my interview travel from Denver, Colorado, my external recruiter paid for airfare, hotel, and rental car. After they saw that that I am a disabled Veteran, they couldn't wait until the interview was completed and show me the door. Several takeaways from this interview are noted: 1) Rhinestahl told my recruiter that 50% business travel was required as part of the position, yet they were too cheap to pay for my interview travel. Also, if they think that an individual should just place all business travel charges on their personal credit card and endure a lengthy period for reimbursement, their policies are insane for anyone who takes this position. 2) They absolutely abhor disabled people and don't show any respect to combat Veterans who were wounded. Diversity is non-existent at this company, forget about inclusion, being a minority, a different religion, etc. 3) they dislike hearing about progressive approaches to supply chain management and think that anyone who is educated in best practices and shares ideas is arrogant. 4) they are set in their ways and refuse to change. 5) they are xenophobic - anyone who doesn't share the same pedigree or community experience is shunned as a new employee. 6) As the external recruiter later told me that me that there has been tremendous turnover in senior leadership of the organization, one can assume that they possess a "hire and fire"mentality with very little concern for the welfare of their employees. Based on the above takeaway points, it was a blessing that Rhinestahl rejected me and anyone who does accept this position should be willing to bear interest charges on their personal credit card for business travel and be prepared to be terminated soon for simply being "different."
