      Marketing Interview

      I interviewed at Ricoh

      Interview

I was very disappointed with my experience during the hiring process for a position at Ricoh. I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter from Manpower, as Ricoh outsources its recruiting. My initial interviews with the recruiter and the hiring manager went well—the hiring manager was engaging and professional, and I was told I’d likely hear back by the end of the week to continue the process. Unfortunately, I received no updates. After a week and a half, I followed up with the recruiter and got a vague response. I reached out again via text and voicemail after another week and a half, but received no reply at all. This lack of communication was frustrating and unprofessional. Companies should provide timely updates to candidates, even if it’s a brief acknowledgment, rather than leaving them without any response. I hope Ricoh can improve their process to ensure better candidate experiences in the future.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Ricoh

      Interview

Bumbling. Inept. Unprofessional. Recruiter was very late to our call, twice, and we never got to speak. They reached out to me then marked me as withdrawn. Shady. I did not withdraw my application. In 2022, RICOH liked my resume, reached out to me through a job board and asked for times I could interview for a specific senior position. They gave the job title but no description. I hunted down the description. I booked a time to discuss. The recruiter was 15 minutes late for our call then informed me I needed to apply before we could speak. This was not in the email...only a time to book through their appointment software. There were two job postings for this role. We settled on which to apply for, then rescheduled. I applied through their HRIS. Attempt two. The same recruiter was over 30 minutes late. I noted my account in their HRIS stated I was "withdrawn". He was confused but discovered the person who made the change on their end. He would investigate and we would reschedule. He could only hypothesize it was because my salary was a little over their range. He would send me another link to reschedule. The next day, I received the generic decline email instead. Get your act together, RICOH.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ricoh in Sept 2015

      Interview

The process was easy. It took around 4 weeks to pass all the filters. Included phone calls and emails. But my situation was a special case so I am not sure if the interview process will be the same for all the applicants.
