I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Ridecell in Jan 2020
Interview
I interviewed with Ridecell's Autonomous Vehicle division called Auro.
I got in contact with a Ridecell recruiter through LinkedIn and we started the interview process.
The first step was a technical phone interview. The interviewer was very badly organized, would ask several questions before allowing me to answer and got over time. I was able to answer all engineering questions and had more general answers to the in depth math optimization techniques questions.
After one week I was told that they want to move forward with the hiring process and scheduled a video call. Shortly after, I was announced that a more junior engineer accepted their offer and they dropped my case to save on money.
I hare read on glassdoor that they hire the cheapest possible software engineers. It is true!

Interview
It was around 9 rounds and took 1 month.
I have been contacted by HR on linkedin about job opening and after some discussion I gave my profile to them.
First I had screening call with HR where I shared details including current and expected CTC.
After this I had series of technical interviews both F2F and hangout. I also have to submit one assignment and had to complete extension on assignment at Ridecell office.
After each round interviewer was happy and they told me they are giving positive feedback for next round.
Once I completed all my technical round, I had interview with HR and India Head. This round was also good.
After completed all these round HR told me they need some time to discuss within team and they will provide me feedback in both cases either positive or negative.
After 2 weeks I tried to contact HR for status, but got reply that they have few candidate in line and will reply back soon.
It's been 2 months now but still waiting for their reply which I think is completely unprofessional.
I have suggestion to Ridecell team, If you guys are not willing to hire candidate, please update candidate in first place. It could save candidate time and frustration. This could also save some negative mouth publicity about interview process at ridecell.
