      User Experience Designer Interview

      15 Sept 2017

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Rightpoint (Boston, MA) in June 2017

      Interview

I applied online and received an email from HR asking for available times for a phone screen with the creative director/hiring manager. I had a good conversation with the hiring manager, he seemed really smart and someone who would be good to work with. I was then asked to come in for an in-person interview to meet the rest of the team. I met with the team and had a pleasant experience meeting everyone. Everyone seemed driven and easy to talk to. After my in-person interview I was asked to set up time for phone interviews with team members from the Chicago location. All my conversations went well and the HR person emailed me shortly after all the interviews were complete that they were likely to extend an offer, however things were busy internally so it might be a while before they can provide an offer. I was happy to hear the positive feedback and understood that things would be busy and asked to be updated when given the chance. A month went by with no response, so I followed up and was told that they’re still really busy and its slowing down the hiring process. Another month went by and I had no follow up to my last email. I noticed the position has been reposted and newer positions are being added so I’m not sure what’s going on. I really liked the team members I spoke to as well as what the company is doing, but it sounds like they need to work out some things internally. Being mislead to believe I would be extended an offer and the lack of communication was disappointing for me.
