      HR Team Member Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Rippling in Dec 2023

      Interview

I recently went through an interview process that I would describe as fairly basic. The entire procedure was streamlined for efficiency. It began with a swift review of my resume with a recruiter, followed by the hiring manager over the phone, and an in-person panel. The questions asked were quite standard, touching on my previous experience, basic skills relevant to the job, and a few situational queries digging into my problem-solving abilities. The problem: someone from Rippling notified my current employer I was interviewing. This would have been a disaster had I not been transparent and was actively coordinating my exit. That said, I’m very disappointed and concerned by a company that doesn’t respect the unwritten code about interviewing: what happens in/during a job application, stays confidential. The situation is fairly ironic given the nature of their software and it being a HR role.
