Labor Or Office - Temp Work Interview

      23 Oct 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Lakeland, FL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Rita Staffing (Lakeland, FL) in Mar 2014

      Interview

Apply online and wait for them to contact you about an appointment to interview. Don't be nervous when you go for your interview as it's just meeting with one of their Staffing Consultants - but do dress to impress like you would interview directly with one of their clients so they can see you would make a good first impression if they send you out on a job. Be prepared to provide them with 10 years of your work history and reference phone numbers and be prepared to give them details. If you're applying for labor work you need to be able to tell them how much lifting each job did and how often that lifting was done and if it was over head or not. If you're applying for office work you need to be able to tell them exactly what computer programs you are familiar with and at what company you used them. If you're applying for office work they will ask you to complete clerical testing to prove your skills. I applied for both types of work at the same time because I have experience doing both. Even if you find their questions frustrating or their lack of eye contact with you annoying because they're typing everything you say as you say it - remember to be nice to them. The person you're talking decides whether they want to send you to work or not and they have 30 more people lined up to interview (their parking lot is always packed) so make sure you are someone they want to help.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Remembering the past 10 years or work history and being able to explain all gaps in employment. Not unreasonable but not easy if you're not prepared for this question.
