The interview process was so long. I would not recommend applying to Ro if you need a job right away or if you tend to get bored with seemingly unending processes. First there was a timed SQL test. Then a virtual loop with the hiring managers and some data people. The data people interviews were technical interviews but I couldn't type so I just had to tell them what to type. It was very weird. They covered topics like experimentation, SQL, and Python. The questions were not very hard but it was disorienting to not be typing when trying to answer the questions. Then there was a call with the recruiter to explain the presentation step "Presentation step?" how long was this interview going to go on? The presentation step consisted of them sending you access to data and you having < 24hr to analyze the data and make a presentation for the hiring manager and some product people. The next step was another loop with leadership people (VP/director level). One interviewer consistently called me the wrong name. Another interviewer was distracted by their dog and spent much of the interview complaining about their boss. There was one more potential step, but at this point I was told I was no longer being considered. I was told they couldn't really give feedback despite me having had 4 interviews and talked to ~15 people over the course of 6 weeks.

The interview process followed the below steps: 1. Online sql assessment 2. Virtual technical and culture fit interviews 3. Data project and presentation 4. Culture fit interviews Technical interviews were hard to prepare for but mostly checked for logic. Data project is given one night prior to ensure you don’t spend too much time on it which was nice.
