I did not have an HR interview at all. I had an initial interview with the hiring manager. Then a second panel interview with two additional senior leaders. Then I was asked to create a work product consisting of a training design and a presentation. Finally, I had a meeting with the hiring manager to discuss salary expectations. The panal interview was extensive and the people indicated they wanted to hire the best because this was a critical position. The company was growing and while they didn't want to be the biggest, they did want to be the best.
