There was an initial call with recruiter, followed by call with someone on the team. The 1st call went well and I appreciated the context into how the department was perceived and the work visible to CEOs. The next interview was a case study which was centered around an example business problem and how I would approach a plan to address areas of understanding.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Case study presenting a scenario and how you would approach it through research and partnership. To be respectful to the company, I won't go into the exact question. I may have signed a NDA, as well.
challenging beyond initial phone screen - for research this is both qual and quant, and some interviewers can be picky about details for quant research skills. Choice of qual research methods is important, along with reasons why. Overall, they take methodology seriously
The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Robinhood (Menlo Park, CA) in June 2020
Interview
Recruiter was fantastic, friendly, personable. First interview was fairly technical. On-site was awful. Four hours, and two of the four interviewed were very rude. I didn’t think they were paying any attention during my presentation, no questions or engagement. Overall very negative experience.
