I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Roivant Sciences (San Francisco, CA) in June 2020
Interview
About 2 weeks after applying, I was sent a one-way video-recorded interview application with 3 recorded behavioral questions and 2 Python questions. About a week after, I had a 30-min video interview with the Hiring Manager and current staff about the role and some technical questions. I was notified by a no-reply that I was rejected after that conversation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Python Coding: Sum two numbers, optimize seating.
Python Technical Conversation: Reverse a string, recreate the sqrt function as an algorithm.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Roivant Sciences (Marlborough, MA) in Mar 2020
Interview
Headhunter found me on LinkedIn, then received an email from the HR of the company.
Then received a link to online test via HireVue. It was due to be completed in a few days but I took it all in 1 go
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Part 1
4 Typical Behavioral questions, about a minute and a half to prepare and 3 minutes to answer. The answer was live recorded on video.
Part 2:
Q1: Valid Paranthesis
I completed the first one in about 15-20 mins despite the HireVue platform being quite weird and the editor very basic.
Q2: Minimum Path Sum
The ambient noise my roommates made distracted me so I had to get up to tell them to shut up. Not sure if this contributed in the decision as the video camera was recording even in the coding session.
Although I was 90% done, spent about 20 mins trying to debug . The editor lags when you try to switch between lines fast. Couldn't understand if brackets were missing from long IF statements as the editor didn't have an open and close bracket tracker. Seriously they just couldn't use my code from the previous question.
Eventually ran out of time while my code with debug print statements was submitted

Interview
Reached out by external Recruiter. Had to take a long and tedious take home examination on technical skills. Had a much greater focus on candidate putting in their time before Roivant would consider giving a second of theirs.
