The best way to describe Roku’s interview process is shambles and weird. I have never come across an interview where I was expected to take Professor Layton style puzzle questions. Its almost embarrassing. There were no easy questions to begin with either and the interviewer kept talking soo much, nothing made sense. I felt embarrassed for anyone that had to put it up with this.
In total, you might get more than 4 interviewers to interview you. Retrospectively, out of the handful of senior people at Roku I got interviewed, only one person stood out of the crowd that really wanted to work there, which goes to show its quantity over quality with Roku.
This is the summary of what I experienced at Roku’s interview: No one knew what they were talking about, trick questions throughout, everyones a senior, they're better than you are so dont bother stating they are wrong, the amount of waffling is unbearable and cringy …….welcome to Roku.
Best part is, I can now tell every good candidate to avoid Roku with the experience I just received and any bad candidates to refer them to Roku.
