I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Roshal Health in July 2025
Interview
I received a call from a Recruiter. We set up a phone screening. Then, I had 2 virtual interviews (via Teams, with video) that went great. I was then able to meet the team (via Teams, with video). I could tell the team was a great group of girls, and I was excited these would potentially be my new coworkers. A couple of days later, I was offered the job. I remembered during my phone screening with the recruiter, the recruiter told me “the base pay is $70,000, but you can ask for more.” I attempted to negotiate pay with the manager after being offered the job. She said she could not accommodate. I said “I understand.” Manager said “I can see about $72,000?” I said sure, that would be great. She said “I will call you back.” An hour later, I received a phone call from the recruiter stating “unfortunately, the offer is now being rescinded. I told you that you could ask for a little more, 80-90k is too much.” I said “there’s a misunderstanding, I will sign today for $70,000.” They did not budge. I left a voicemail for manager letting her know recruiter told me I could ask for more, and that I’d be more than happy to accept at $70k. The manager said “I can tell you will not be happy at this job.” Very odd situation over all, it hurt to get punished for wanting to have an open, two-way conversation about pay. I invested a lot of time interviewing and was really looking forward to this job. Pretty wild coming from a company that emphasizes the importance of mental health. Looking back, I’m glad this situation happened, otherwise I would not have known how Roshal Health treats its employees. Definitely not a company I’d want to work for.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me what I liked about my previous role, which was almost identical to the job I was interviewing for.
