I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rural King (Plano, IL) in Jan 2017
Interview
I submitted an application. I was called about a week later. I had to take a 5 question cashier test before I was granted an actual interview. My interview was roughly 15 minutes long. Management complained about the people who work there and laughed about their employees. I was called a few days after and told I got the job. I did not start for four weeks after, when I had to call them to remind them to put me on the schedule. I submitted a background check and drug screening.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rural King (Huntsville, AL) in Feb 2025
Interview
Kaitlin the HR Lead was nice and the process went well with her. Kaitlin was very friendly, compassionate, and empathetic. She is one of the strongest if not THE strongest leader at the store

Question 1
Why do you think you would be a good fit at Rural King ?
Exactly what you'd expect for a mediocre cashier job, if you can show up they'll hire you. They just need bodies in places to stock merchandise and run the registers. The "HR" person was very rushed and just tried to get me in as quickly as possible.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Rural King in June 2021
Interview
There were two interviews. The first interview was over the phone and the interviewer was very friendly and informative. Asked basic interview questions. The second one was a day later and in-person. He asked more scenario-based questions.
