Unfortunately a sad and insulting offer, at the end of an extremely long process. I was submitted Feb 2nd and finally given an offer March 17th, which was basically a demotion to my current position, 15k less than I make, and 5k less to my prior job. There must have been a major breakdown in communication, to put someone through a process with such a poor outcome. In this case a turn down was more appropriate, or a hard stop earlier in the process. The HR rep seemed like they were giving me the offer of shame when they called and I could tell it didn't feel right to them. Note in the step below, there was not a meeting with HR. That is a red flag. 1. 30 min interview with Director 2. Exercise w/ CodePen 3. 1hr Live coding session 4. 1hr Tech and behaviorial questions Make sure you are clear about what you are asking for and if they say they are interviewing for a good fit across several positions, I'd be wary they are actually trying to help you out and not take it in stride.
