Interview
I applied for the role as a Credit Controller and got the invitation for a phone screening quite quickly after.
The phone call was very relaxed and went very well. We just spoke about my experience and how the process would look. Two days later, I got a phone call to clarify my availability for the next interview.
After the interview was done, I waited one week to ask for a follow-up. I phoned the number I had and was told that due to half term it might take longer. This was okay for me, so I waited another week.
I sent an email with no reply. A few days later, I tried to call the number again, with no success.
After 3 weeks of waiting, I was told the decision that they would move on with a different candidate. I accept that I wasn’t picked. I can’t accept that they didn’t proactively send me an email with a hint to wait due to the holiday period. I can’t accept being ghosted by a company. Even if they had given me the job, I wouldn’t have wanted it. A company that treats applicants like this does not match my values.
