I was given a automated pre qualifying questionnaire were I stated my salary requirement as asked. I got a call for a phone interview but he randomly called and I could not speak at that time so he scheduled a time to call back. The interviewer never called at that scheduled time, so I called him. He sounded like he had be sleeping. Once on the call, I was asked to tell the interviewer about myself and I did, along with other answers. At the end of this very brief phone interview, he asked for my salary requirement, which he already knew. He then said that he couldn’t afford that, but then revealed that he already knew me and that I had come up in the field. He said that I was great to work with etc., but I didn’t want to be rude on the phone. It did not register to me until afterward that he wasted my time for no reason. He said that if I ever reconsidered another salary, that I should reach out, but I would never take another phone call with this company again.
