It was pretty straight forward with the typical questions. Optical knowledge isn't necessary because they will train you. But it doesn't hurt. Had to interview with one of the owners.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at SEE Eyewear (New York, NY) in July 2016
Interview
The manager asked me basic questions about my life and why I wanted to work for SEE. My interview lasted over 2 hours. The conversation got off topic sometimes. That is okay.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at SEE Eyewear
Interview
It was pretty painless. Like most companies, they find many employees by current employee referral. Since I was referred and had plenty of experience, my interview was pretty much just an opportunity to meet the manager and discuss availability.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me about my optical experience and previous work experience.
Manager that interviewed was very friendly. He didn't ask the typical interview questions everyone asks. I got called back that night to get started with the hiring process. It was easy going and a quick process.
