Interview
I interviewed for a lab role and left feeling pretty disrespected. Some of the questions felt off, like I was being tested on things that didn’t match the role, or like they assumed I wasn’t qualified. I’ve worked in labs before and have my degree, so it was frustrating to be treated like I didn’t belong.
As a Latino applicant, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being judged differently. The tone was cold and dismissive. If this company really cares about diversity, they need to take a hard look at how they run their interviews.

Interview
It was very laid back and they asked more questions about me on a personal level. The questions ranged from what do you want to do with this company to prior work history.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SEH America (Vancouver, WA) in June 2021
Interview
Interview started with a take home project (details listed in interview questions). When I worked on it I decided to have the document output a .docx file since the instructions since it just had to output to a file that accepts images and text.
However once I submitted the take home project the recruiter that I submitted it through told me that the person who reviewed my project (employee at SEH america) failed my project because it did not generate a powerpoint?? The directions stated that it did not have to be a powerpoint.
Then I decided to change it so it generates a powerpoint (which did not take long) and I was told they would not look at my project again because I failed the first time also my project is on github so all they had to do was recheck the link I sent them.
Overall horrible experience/communication. In summary, I followed the project guidelines and still failed and then fixed what they wanted and they would not reconsider me. Don't apply here and don't do any of their take-home projects there just looking for free work.
