SFR3 Data Engineer interview questions

The recruiter reached out to me on a job board website. I talked to the Director of the Risk Department and a senior engineer separately. Those conversations went well, in my opinion, and they seemed like friendly people. I was then given a case study, on which I worked for a week, and then presented it to a panel of people, including the Chief Product Officer. I did not have a positive experience with the panel interview. The case study was more of a data analysis than a data engineer case study. During the case study, the CPO or the panel asked me no questions about the work I was presenting but a separate business problem that was not even part of the case study. If that was the plan all along, what was the point of the case study? I am not sure they know what they are looking for or what they are asking in their own case study. I am also not sure they know what problem they are trying to solve. My advice would be not to spend too much time on the case study like I did because chances are they will mostly ignore it.
