      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at SLB (Gloucester, England)

      Interview

Wasn't difficult, some questions about control theory and made me prapre a presentation about project relevent to the job and they are gonna ask some questions about it, and site viewing. I think I didn't get the offer because my presentation wasn't good enough since I choose a difficult topic and didn’t prepare to it very well. They haven’t replied to me until now by the way, it's been about a year.

      Modeling & Simulation Engineer Interview

      11 Mar 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Sugar Land, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at SLB (Sugar Land, TX) in Mar 2018

      Interview

I applied at a campus career fair. The recruiter asked questions about my academic profile (Ph.D. in mechanical engineering) and some of my current projects (data analytics and cloud computing). A day later, I received an email asking me to attend a 30-min interview with the recruiter. The recruiter asked more questions about my previous experience and the type of roles I would be interested in. I received an email a few weeks later inviting me to an on-site interview in Sugar Land. The day started with a 10-15 min presentation on a topic of my choice. The selection of the topic was difficult because I did not know my audience or the type of things they could be interested in, so I chose the projects that the campus recruiter and I spent the most time discussing. After a short round of questions, I had four one-on-one interviews with group leaders in different areas (software development, industrial IoT, and modeling & simulation). In those interviews, we talked about my resume, some of my projects, technical questions (modeling theory, software development, cloud computing, industrial networks), and the presentation I gave first thing in the morning. A week later, I received an offer.
