I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SLK Group (Bengaluru) in Dec 2018
Interview
Need to go to venue and register yourself in your mobile phone which is a painful process and website is not mobile friendly. Wait for 3 hours to get interview. And then begins my nightmare:
1.Seems interviewer had biases and had upfront decided to reject or to prove he is the best and everyone else fall below his standards.Right from very beginning before even asking any questions he kept telling how he rejects candidates and how I am most probably not good enough for the role.Looked like he took pride in rejecting.
2. Asks difference between singleton and static. Gave right answer. However he expected: with singleton you can create 4-5 instances but with static just one which is downright wrong
2. Asked me under what hood do access modifiers fall. Correctly answered as abstraction
He ended up arguing how it is encapsulation and not abstraction.
3. He asks me why normalization is bad. I remember telling it could lead to joins which could hit performance. He tells me 'joins' is wrong answer but 'many joins' is correct answer!
4.Asks me why generics are preferred. Despite my best efforts to answer stating boxing/unboxing, can assign the type upfront etc. - rejects my answer stating I did not use keyword 'strongly typed'
5.Communication was a real problem. Interviewer did not seem to know English.
6.Intervier was too shabby with dirty nails, unkept beard and shabby appearance.
Such people not only ruin the reputation of a great company like SLK but also spoil someone else's aspirations of joining! Kindly have a filter on the interviewers and have someone who knows basic English communication before .net or technology.
2 rounds and most of them on process related and few questions from technical.interview process was good 2 rounds and most of them on process related and few questions from technical.interview process was good
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at SLK Group (Bangalore Rural) in Jan 2021
Interview
It depends on role.
Lets say if youre giving an interview, you have 3 rounds
1. Technical + coding based interview
2. Managerial round with some technical and problem solving
3. HR round
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at SLK Group in June 2020
Interview
Standard process like 3 rounds, client driven and company is just a body shopper, no values on candidates. Final round whole team will be present and asking junk questions like they want to learn from you.
