      Product Marketing Manager Interview

      24 June 2026

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at SOFTSWISS (Poznań, Greater Poland) in June 2026

      Interview

My experience with the company left mixed impressions. On the positive side, the interview was conducted in a professional and friendly manner. The recruiter was pleasant to speak with and provided a detailed overview of the company, its products, culture, and growth plans. It was clear that the company invests significant effort into building and promoting its employer brand. However, there were several aspects of the hiring process that I found confusing. First, shortly after submitting my application, I received a list of screening questions regarding my language proficiency, location, work authorization, and other details that were already clearly stated in my CV. This created the impression that applications may not be reviewed thoroughly before candidates are contacted. Second, despite what appeared to be a positive interview and discussion of potential next steps, I was later informed that the position had been closed. At the same time, the vacancy remained publicly advertised, and the hiring process appeared to continue through the company's website and LinkedIn. Naturally, I am not aware of the company's internal decision-making process, and there may be legitimate reasons that were not communicated to candidates. However, from a candidate's perspective, this created a sense of inconsistency and a lack of transparency regarding both the actual status of the role and the selection criteria. Another observation was that a significant portion of the interview was dedicated to presenting the company and its achievements, while comparatively less attention seemed to be given to assessing my professional experience and its fit for the role. Given that candidates are expected to invest time in researching the company, preparing for interviews, and engaging with the employer brand, I would have appreciated greater clarity regarding the key requirements and decision-making criteria from the outset. As a result, I was left with the personal impression that increasing employer brand awareness may be one of the objectives achieved through the recruitment process. I cannot verify whether this is actually the case, and this is only my subjective perception based on my experience. For future candidates, I would recommend clarifying the key selection criteria early in the process and carefully considering the amount of time they wish to invest before proceeding through multiple recruitment stages.
