I applied online. I interviewed at STS Capital Partners in June 2024
Interview
The interview process has been very odd to say the least. They tried to schedule interviews at 3am EST. Then also changed my interview time 3x, without so much as a courtesy email. They clearly don’t value their employees time or respect them.
Arguably the most bizarre interview process I’ve ever been involved in. It lasted over a month and a half with interviews being scheduled hours before the start time or without even confirming my availability first. Part of the process involves meeting with the CEO’s life coach. I was ghosted after the last round and after emailing two weeks later, received a rambling phone call from one of the HR partners who didn’t check my time zone before calling. All parties interviewed seemed nice but referred to the group as a family, which is always a red flag
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at STS Capital Partners
Interview
I was ghosted after receiving an offer after 4 interviews. My recommendation to anyone would be to stay far away from this company. There were red flags throughout the process, but I was intrigued by the M&A space and the potential salary. The whole process took roughly a month. It got very weird going into the 4th interview, and then weirder after I received the offer. Although it was a pleasant meeting, my 4th interview was with a “life coach” who I was told sits in on all new hiring interviews and exec decisions for the company. Red Flag #1. After being told “welcome to the team” via email, it took over a week for me to be able to talk with someone in HR regarding what the offer would entail. Red Flag #2. The offer had a competitive salary ($150,000), but no benefits as I was told everyone working there is an independent contractor. Red Flag #3. I was also told it would be a one year renewable contract, but that they could terminate the contract at any time. I was also told that the position was newly created because they terminated and outsourced the entire department previously due to COVID. Red flags #4 and #5. Following the call with HR, I have been unable to to get in contact with anyone at the company, and my last several emails were ignored. I am fortunate that I am employed, otherwise this experience would have been demoralizing. This company already has many poor reviews on here, and this review could have been avoided with a simple courtesy email from HR stating that they were going in another direction.
