I applied online. I interviewed at Sage Computing in Dec 2020
Interview
I interviewed with 3 people in the company over the phone and the interviews went well. After the interviews I was asked to complete a writing assignment. After not hearing anything for 2 weeks, I followed up in an email. They responded a week and a half later, saying they would contact me the following week to talk more about the decision. After not hearing anything for 2 more weeks, I followed up again and never heard anything from them. I have never had such an unprofessional interview experience. I found it incredibly disrespectful that they couldn't respond to my emails in a timely fashion and have the decency to give me closure for the position.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sage Computing (Fairfax, VA) in July 2015
Interview
Interviewed with company CEO, an assistant to CEO, and another housing analyst. Then I was required to type a short synopsis of an article I was asked to read. I also was asked to research and write a short report at home on a housing topic that they assigned to me.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sage Computing (Reston, VA) in Mar 2018
Interview
I submitted a resume and within two days, HR called me to schedule an interview. They proved fairly difficult to contact and I proactively suggested trying to make arrangements by email after I had returned 3 of their calls and the HR contact didn't pick up.
I had an hour-long phone interview with the President, Swati Bansal, before speaking with the hiring manager. I told them from the start that I wouldn't be able to start for a few months but expressed my interest in the position. Upon the conclusion of the interview, I was asked to complete a writing assignment even though I had provided them with recent academic work. I completed their sample assignment based on a prompt and sent it within the allotted 48 hours. They never acknowledged receipt, so I followed up a week later. They thanked me for completing the assignment and told me that in my interview I mentioned I couldn't start immediately, and they need someone now. Why would they waste my time and ask me to complete a writing prompt if they needed someone to start now?
I'm shocked at the lack of unprofessionalism that I've seen from the organization. Now I understand why this position has been posted on leading city planning websites for so several weeks. I would definitely not recommend this employer and would caution potential applicants.
