The interview process was quite straightforward - it consisted of an initial HR stage, followed by a code review, a couple of behavioral interviews (more than one!), and finally, what they termed a 'career path review' - a one-hour call during which I was asked about my managers from ten years ago.
My issue with this interview process stemmed from the fact that after each stage, I received not just positive, but rather enthusiastic feedback regarding how well-suited I seemed for both the company and the position. However, despite this positive feedback, they ultimately decided to go with another candidate. Additionally, the recruiter expressed interest in keeping in touch for future job openings, to which I agreed. However, despite seeing subsequent job openings, I never heard from them again, leaving me puzzled about the discrepancy between the feedback and the outcome. I'm also unsure where I might have gone 'wrong' or what I might have missed during the process.
