I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Salvador Dali Museum in Aug 2024
Interview
I believe there are only two rounds.
The first was the Screen Call with HR. This was simple and easy. Their name was Kathy and she was so down to earth and extremely friendly. I felt myself around her. She asked very simple questions to make sure both parties are on the same page on the position (think, interest in the museum, location, salary expectations etc. ] No trick questions asked here.
Once there is confirmation you are moving on, the second interview is in person at the museum with the Marketing Manager. You go in and get a tour of the business side of the organization and see where they are housed, which was really neat! Then you are introduced to the marketing manager begin your interview, which was easy and down to earth, similar questions as the screen call. This lasted I'd say maybe a half hour. Then you are taken to a computer for a test. This was a bit mentally challenging as it included a digital test and short on paper test to make sure you know your marketing stuff. I would suggest to the organization to at least offer the candidate to do this test at home and submit via email (it was all on a word document)... and submit via email, there were numerous distractions in the office, which is an open office setting, the day I had to do this. I will admit, the test itself was a great way to get you to think on the spot and a great way for them to see if you are what they are looking for. You were to come up with a billboard, email newsletter, facebook and instagram posts as well as correct grammar on a document that had typos and errors. Personally, I am not a fan of marketing test that involve sharing ideas because you are essentially giving your ideas away for free. Overall, the in person interview should last about 1.5 - 2 hours.

It's a long interview process with a few different people and pretty spaced out. After the interview I was given a lengthy test to complete in a short time frame.

Interview
The interview was relaxed and laid back. It took place in the cafe and the interviewer and I sipped coffee while we discussed my prior work experience and what she envisioned to accomplish in the coming months. I was accepted for the internship by the end of the interview.
