I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Samsara in May 2017
Interview
After the initial call with their recruiter, I was scheduled for a phone interview with a sales manager. They seemed very disorganized, as the manager had to reschedule 3 times. On one occasion he just blew me off and I sat around for 30 minutes until I finally had to call them to see if we were still on.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara in Sept 2020
Interview
I had two rounds of interview, one with HR, one with sales manager. The people I talked to were both very professional but very kind and seemed genuinely interested. No trick questions, just situational evaluations and personality questions, plus some specific questions on experiences. They did not assess or test me, but instead tried to understand who I am and whether I would be a good fit for a specific position at a specific moment in time
The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Samsara (San Francisco, CA) in July 2020
Interview
Basic recruiter screening with basic questions that flow through the structure of your resume. They were very nice on the phone. Didn't work out because still in school. They asked to check back in after graduation.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Samsara (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
The first interview was a quick 15-30 over the phone interview. After that, there are multiple in-person interviews with different people every time. The in-person interviews are more in-depth, as to be expected, than the over the phone interview.
